Fast facts for groups

We are more than happy to answer any questions you have regarding a group booking, however below you'll find some information that is often requested for groups.

  • Climbers depart in groups of twelve (12) and a 20 minute interval is required between departures. Each group is fully escorted by an experienced and highly trained Climb Leader who also provides commentary.

  • Special offers apply for group bookings – more information from Reservations.

  • The climb operates 7 days per week, 361 days per year (excludes Christmas Day & Riverfestival Riverfire weekend)

  • Pre-scheduled climbs are available at dawn, daylight, twilight and night.

  • Advance bookings are essential for all group climbs – changes to the date or time are permitted up to 7 days prior to the climb date.

  • Climbs depart from Base HQ – 170 Main Street, Kangaroo Point and climbers are requested to arrive a minimum 15 minutes prior to their climb start time.

  • Exclusive climbs are available for groups. SBAC reserves the right to add general public climbers to exclusive climb groups with less than 12 climbers unless all slots are pre-purchased.

  • Climb slots can be tentatively held in advance with a release back requirement for unfilled climbs prior to the climb date.

  • Confirmed final numbers and full payment is required not less than seven (7) days prior to the climb date. Tickets are non-refundable and specific to the climb time booked.

  • The climb is a 2½ hour safe, soft adventure experience which includes the briefing, safety demonstration and the climb route. Should schedules be tight, exclusive group express climbs of shorter duration can be arranged (please note that climb costs remain the same).

  • Group rates available

  • All climbers are provided with a fully enclosed climb suit and are required to wear fully enclosed rubber soled footwear eg runners, track shoes etc. They are also requested to read, complete and sign an Indemnity Form before climbing.

  • For safety reasons, a person cannot participate on the Climb if their blood alcohol concentration is 0.05% or greater or they are considered to be under the influence of prescription or illicit drugs.  If a Climber refuses to be breath tested, SBAC will deny the person participation in the Climb and will not issue a refund to the Climber. Any climbers with a reading over .05% will forfeit their climb.

  • In order to avoid any embarrassment, group organisers are asked to ensure that all climbers are supplied with advance information regarding the requirements for footwear and clothing and are aware of the alcohol/drug restrictions.

“I have often looked up at the construction and
